Where Can I Go- Suzy Yaraei

This is the reworking of a song I produced for Suzy a few years back. I used a lot of the Jomox analog drum machine and a Micro Moog for the bassline. I also used a midi controller to play the 8 bit sounds from the old Nintendo I've had since I was 10. I really like the string sounds, I sampled the plucked cello sound that comes in from an old Bartok piece and then wrote my melody from that. I stutter edited the vocal harmonies to create the outtro section, which is one of my favorite parts of the piece.

So Happy Monday, here is some new music for you.

Steal This Film

Media piracy is nothing new and we all know the toll it has taken on the music and film industry, but why is it so widespread and why are the administrators of websites that host links to torrent downloads not being prosecuted and their sites shut down? This film sheds some light on the battle being fought over over copyright infringement, file "sharing", and the way that sites such as the pirate bay are working around the laws meant to protect the interests of artists.
